The Dynamism of Women’s Roles Within Public Institutions: The Impact of The Socio-Legal Approach on The Diversity of Women’s Roles in Society

This study aims to identify the various social changes witnessed by Moroccan society, which have led to a dynamic emergence in the societal roles assigned to genders and changes in the legal framework and procedural practices concerning social interactions. The study first addresses conceptual definitions related to the topic and the role women have come to enjoy within public institutions according to a set of strategies adopted by the state. Secondly, it delves into the Public Service Law and the Labor Code, not to mention the criminal protection of women, with a focus on the legal framework outlined in Law 103-13 derived from the Family Law, which regulates the protection of women from all forms of violence and oppression they may face amidst societal transformations. Undoubtedly, the study also discusses sociological theories explaining the role of women within organizations (functional, role conflict, etc.), yet according to official statistics, it becomes evident that women still occupy lower ranks in terms of employment and interaction with public facilities compared to men.
