This scientific paper presents an investigation into the complex issues related to curriculum development and the education-learning process, specifically in the context of geography education in secondary schools. The study aims to contribute to the interdisciplinary inquiry of how modern technologies, specifically geomatics, can be leveraged to enhance didactic practices in the planning, implementation and evaluation of geography instruction. The research is centered upon the framework of information and communication technologies (ICT), which is a critical priority area identified in the National Charter for Education and Training and the Strategic Vision 2015-2030. The study seeks to explore the potential contributions of geomatics to geography education in secondary schools and investigate the manifestations of the integration between these two disciplines. Additionally, it identifies and delves into the potential limitations of this integration to create meaningful and effective pedagogical scenarios that foster student learning and critical thinking. Ultimately the goal is to develop students with multiple skills, abilities and attitudes that empower them to address environmental issues and problems critically.
