This article delves into the intricate presence of myth within the literary works of Gérard de Nerval, meticulously examining its interaction with both philosophy and poetry. Nerval adeptly utilizes myth as a conduit for transcending the confines of reality, thereby delving into profound philosophical inquiries. Through his eloquent poetic compositions, he seamlessly amalgamates mythological components, evocative symbols, and philosophical contemplations, thus presenting a distinctive panorama of the world-one wherein rationality and the imaginary elegantly intertwine. His exploration of myth serves to unveil an intimate and symbiotic relationship existing between the realms of poetry and philosophy. This symbiosis mutually enriches both disciplines, culminating in a singular oeuvre suffused with an aura of transcendence. Despite the inherently conceptual essence of philosophy, it often draws from the wellspring of poetry to creatively articulate its ideologies. Similarly, poetry, in its pursuit of elevated artistic expression, draws nourishment from philosophical introspection, thereby fostering a refinement of its cognitive profundity. While these disciplines inherently differ, they converge harmoniously in their shared odyssey for truth and significance.
