Universities today are witnessing profound ideological and belief-related transformations among students, with atheism emerging not merely as a rejection of religion, but as a complex psychological and social dynamic closely associated with processes of personal meaning-making and identity reconstruction. This study aims to analyze belief transformations among university students, particularly the adoption of atheistic positions, from a contemporary psycho-educational perspective. The research approaches atheism as a developmental trajectory linked to identity reconfiguration and the search for meaning during emerging adulthood. The study adopts a descriptive-analytical methodology and proposes a field-based framework grounded in a questionnaire ةto assess religious identity, meaning-making processes, and the university climate. The findings ultimately emphasize the importance of strengthening preventive approaches within university psychological counseling services. Furthermore, this article explores these dynamics through the lens of contemporary psychological counseling and educational guidance, examining four major dimensions in order to better understand the phenomenon and to propose an integrated framework for student support.
