Toward an Integrative Theoretical Model of Post-Disaster Psychological Development: The Interplay Between Sensory Processing Patterns and Psychological Resilience

This study aims to explore the interaction between sensory processing models and psychological resilience to better understand post-disaster developmental trajectories. Using an exploratory approach, a conceptual model is proposed, integrating sensory sensitivity, resilience capacities, and post-traumatic outcomes. The study suggests that resilience can play a crucial moderating role in how individuals perceive and integrate sensory stimuli following a traumatic event. This model could guide clinical interventions focused on sensory adaptation and post-traumatic growth
