Sociology, and the Question of Digital Development

The paper approaches, through all its paragraphs, the relationship between sociological theory and the digital revolution and the consequences of the interaction that occurred between them. On the other hand, the paper describes the results of this interaction to development processes. both concepts “Data deluge” and “Digital inequality” treated as prominent effects of the digital revolution or digital age. the first (Data deluge) contributes to delaying the progress of knowledge among academic actors, it makes it difficult for analysts to analyse their papers and researches to deduce any useful conclusions from it, is known as data deluge. while the second (Digital inequalities) contributes to deepening the level of social inequality, by causing the differential use of the Internet and Digital skills, pushing the cultural capital (Bourdieusian concept) to emerge in its digital version, the paper also sheds light on development in the digital age at the national level, drawing theoretical exits.
