Psychological Counseling and Family Stability: Preliminary Approaches and Educational Challenges

Throughout history, human beings have continuously sought to attain a high quality of life and overall wellbeing—values encompassing balance, harmony, stability, and the satisfaction of essential needs. This aspiration extends to all societies and families, including those in Morocco. Yet, contemporary Moroccan families face a multitude of challenges that undermine family cohesion, disturb interpersonal harmony, and hinder the fulfillment of social and educational functions. These circumstances underscore the growing need for evidence-based interventions and practical counseling programs to help families adapt, preserve stability, and strengthen their relational dynamics. Against this backdrop, the present paper seeks to rekindle critical and reflective inquiry into the field of family psychological counseling. It aims to contribute to the development of effective family and educational practices grounded in the principles of psychological guidance and aligned with the overarching objective of promoting sustainable family stability.
