Optimizing TaRL Approach with AI in Pioneer Schools in Morocco

This article examines the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into the “Teaching at the Right Level” (TaRL) approach in pioneering schools in Morocco, aimed at improving reading and arithmetic outcomes. The independent variable is the use of AI, and the dependent variable is the improvement in academic performance. The study focuses on the lack of personalized learning, which is the biggest obstacle to student progress. A mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative (student performance metrics) and qualitative (interviews) data, provides a comprehensive view of instructional efficacy while analyzing perceptions, challenges, and recommendations for optimizing the TaRL program with the help of AI. The results show that AI enables greater personalization of teaching by analyzing student data in real time, allowing for the adjustment of instructional practices. This approach reduces performance disparities and optimizes the effectiveness of TaRL, paving the way for broader adoption of AI in education
