The province of Guercif has experienced significant improvements recently in terms of territorial transformations, particularly in the agricultural sector. The population previously relied on traditional irrigation methods, mainly surface irrigation, but has now transitioned to modern irrigation systems. Among these methods is local irrigation, which has proven to be one of the most effective and modern methods, leading to increased irrigated areas in the province.

The main aim of this dissertation is to discuss the changes in the agricultural sector and their impact on the province, as well as the important interventions implemented by the country. Specifically, the dissertation will focus on the effects of space and dynamism, transformations in water resources, climate change, traditional irrigation systems, and modern irrigation systems.
