Education for Sustainable Development as a Strategic Challenge for African Countries
This article highlights the urgent need for African countries to reform their educational systems to better align with global sustainable development goals. It argues that education should become a key tool in fostering environmental and social awareness and equipping individuals with the necessary skills to tackle modern economic and social challenges. The article showcases successful educational programs across the continent that are promoting sustainable development concepts. Special attention is given to initiatives focused on environmental education, and building young people’s capabilities in areas like renewable energy, sustainable management of natural resources, and climate change mitigation.
