Mental delay is a complex mental limitation, surrounded by theoretical and methodological difficulties. The situation of a mentally challenged child is complex, affected by psychological, social, and educational problems. These challenges can lead to integration difficulties in social, educational, and communication domains. Insufficient scientific research further exacerbates the difficulties faced by these children.
Our focus is to investigate the relationship between mental delay and linguistic development towards achieving equal opportunities for all. Research in this area can help alleviate the difficulties faced by these children by promoting their linguistic skills, enhancing their sensory and socio-affective perceptions, and fostering their openness towards others and the world. This work will ultimately prepare them for integration into social and civil life, enabling them to enjoy the same rights and freedoms as others, recognized nationally and internationally.
