This paper examines the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in advancing inclusive education, which has emerged as a key priority within contemporary educational policies. In Morocco, this development has prompted the Ministry of National Education to engage in legislative and institutional reforms in response to national and international rights-based frameworks promoting the inclusion of children with disabilities. In this context, the adoption of the Reference Framework for Curriculum Engineering for Children with Disabilities – Inclusive Education Classes represents a significant milestone in the reform of the Moroccan education system and reflects a growing commitment to ensuring equitable access to education. The effective implementation of inclusive education requires educational stakeholders to keep pace with technological developments, particularly advances in AI. AI-based tools offer considerable potential for facilitating teaching and learning processes, adapting educational practices to diverse learner needs, and improving access to appropriate learning opportunities for children with disabilities. Their integration may therefore contribute to strengthening educational inclusion while supporting learners’ subsequent social and professional integration. Against the backdrop of rapid digital transformation and the increasing application of AI across various sectors, including healthcare, industry, transportation, finance, commerce, and education, this paper highlights the potential of AI to enhance inclusive educational practices and support the effective inclusion of children with disabilities within the Moroccan educational context.
