This research belongs to the field of contemporary art studies. It examines the exhibition Le Non-corps (“The Non-Body”) as a case study to analyze the transformations of female body representation at the intersection of materiality, performance, and digital media. It explores how the interaction between these dimensions contributes to reconfiguring the female body beyond traditional visual frameworks and transforming it into a dynamic space for meaning production. The study highlights the evolving concept of the body in contemporary artistic practices and contributes to critical debates on the relationship between body, representation, and artistic media. It addresses a research gap concerning the limited studies that examine the integration of materiality, performance, and digital media in the analysis of female body representation within contemporary art practices. Adopting an analytical approach that combines theoretical framing and applied analysis, the research draws on critical literature and the examination of artworks from the Le Non-corps exhibition to reveal the processes through which meaning is produced through the interaction of material, performance, and digital technologies. The study concludes that the exhibition does not merely provide an alternative representation of the female body; rather, it questions the logic of representation itself by presenting the body as a transformative entity oscillating between presence and absence, and between the material and the digital. This expands the understanding of the relationship between the body and representation in contemporary art.
